"Amatriciana for solidarity" - Fundraising for the victims of the earthquake in Italy

On 18 September 2016, three Italian students of the Keynes Promotion, Ms Gaia FUSCO, Ms Maria Fabiola RANZATO and Mr Andrea SABATINI, organized the fundraising event "Amatriciana for solidarity" at the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe.

The purpose of the event was to collect offers to be given to the Italian Civil Protection in order to help the people affected by the earthquake that hit central Italy on 24 August 2016. This event was also aimed at giving all Natolin students the opportunity to show their solidarity to the victims.

More than 50 dishes of pasta all'amatriciana - a typical dish of Amatrice, the town most affected by the tragedy - were served at the Natolin canteen during dinner. The event was warmly welcomed by the academic community with a total amount collected of 3,232 Polish złoty.

The organization and success of this event would not have been possible without the precious help of the campus staff and of our fellow students, who all showed an incredible spirit of solidarity!
