"Bienvenue à l'Aphasie" – Live Talk with Mr Louis GUSTIN, Natolin Alumnus

On Friday, 17 February 2023, the College of Europe in Natolin hosted the event entitled "Bienvenue à l'Aphasie" an inspiring talk conducted by Natolin Alumnus Mr Louis GUSTIN. More than 70 people, including staff and students, participated in the event occurring in the Auditorium Copernicus.

Mr GUSTIN, who overcame a stroke and aphasia at the age of 24, gave a heartfelt and uplifting speech on the challenges of living with a disability and seeking employment in European or national affairs. With a unique perspective and personal experiences, he shared valuable insights on the importance of supporting those with disabilities and their integration into European Society. He also used humour to keep the audience engaged and energized.

The event, organised by Natolin's Student Affairs and Professional Development Office, aimed to bring a fresh perspective on the challenges of living with aphasia and the importance of supporting those with this condition. Mr Louis GUSTIN's success in the face of adversity served as a powerful reminder to the audience of the value of determination and perseverance in achieving one's goals.

The conference was a testament to Natolin's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of academic and professional life.
