Celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Natolin campus by the Italian Regional Alumni Group at the Polish Embassy in Rome

On 7 June 2017, the Italian Regional Group of the College of Europe Alumni Association celebrated the 25th anniversary of the inauguration of the Natolin campus at the Polish Embassy in Rome.

Thanks to the very generous hospitality of the Polish Ambassador, H.E. Mr Tomasz ORŁOWSKI, almost 60 Bruges and Natolin alumni from various promotions gathered at the Embassy Chancery in Rome. On this occasion, they also had the chance to meet future Natolin students of the academic year 2017-2018. H.E. Ambassador ORŁOWSKI, who is also a visiting professor at the Natolin campus, welcomed us with warm and enthusiastic words and shared with us some personal memories about the foundation of the Natolin campus.

After a brief introduction by Ms Michela ANGELI, Representative of the Italian Regional Group of the Alumni Association, two alumnae currently living in Rome told us more about their experiences in Natolin: Ms Ewelina JELENKOWSKA-LUCÀ, Head of Press and Media at the European Commission Representation in Italy, and Ms Giulia MASSOTTI, Expert at the European Affairs Department of the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Ms Lucia PASQUALINI, Italian diplomat and Head of Unit in charge of selections and grants at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, honored us with a speech as well. Finally, Mr Mattia FILIPPIN, Head of Publicity and Recruitment at the College of Europe in Natolin, welcomed alumni and prospective students and gave an overview of the most important developments introduced in Natolin in the past years.

A typical Polish reception offered by H.E. Ambassador ORŁOWSKI closed the event. We would like to thank H.E. Ambassador ORŁOWSKI and his staff members for their generous hospitality and all the attendees for their participation and usual support to the Italian Regional Group of the Alumni Association of the College of Europe.
