Dorota KOZAKIEWICZ

Dorota Kozakiewicz is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of the University of Warsaw. She has over fifteen years of experience in teaching Italian and English as foreign languages. Her research interests include among others: linguistic conceptualization and linguistic means that build images of reality in mass media discourses.

Currently, she is Deputy Head of the Italian Section and Coordinator for Contacts with the Italian-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of the University of Warsaw. She is also Chairwoman of the Italian Language Examination Committee in the Coordination Council for Foreign Language Teaching and Certification of Language Proficiency at the same institution.

She has participated in many international projects within European Funding such as IMAGACT in collaboration with the University of Florence, LLP Leonardo da Vinci HORIZON; AURORA; OPEN THE DOOR for your Future Through Language Learning, within the OP Human Capital (2013, 2014, 2015); she collaborates on some projects with Accademia della Crusca. Member of the international research group for literary, audiovisual and transcultural translation TRANSIT (Palermo-Turin-Rome-Warsaw). Co-founder and managing editor of the bilingual cultural magazine “Gazzetta Italia”.
