Dr Emile BADARIN and Prof. Tobias SCHUMACHER published a peer-reviewed article on ongoing energy-related disputes in the Eastern Mediterranean

Dr Emile BADARIN, Research Fellow at the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair, and Professor Tobias SCHUMACHER, Chairholder of the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair, have just published an article, entitled “The Eastern Mediterranean Energy Bonanza: A Piece in the Regional and Global Geopolitical Puzzle, and the Role of the European Union”.

The article examines current energy-related disputes in the Eastern Mediterranean by situating them in the context of the Middle East’s broader geopolitical landscape, and by showing how global powers’ interests and involvement have become contingent on the international and regional political environments.

Published in the peer-reviewed journal Comparative Southeast European Studies, the article can be accessed through this link.
