First Aid Courses Take Place at Natolin

The Student Affairs and Professional Development Office (SAPDO) at the College of Europe in Natolin organized a First Aid training for its students in cooperation with Medaid, a leading provider of first aid training and services. The course was held on 18 April 2023, as a student-led initiative aimed at promoting health and safety in the community.

During the course, students learned various practical skills related to first aid, including CPR, the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and the treatment of wounds, burns, and other injuries. The course was designed to help students develop the knowledge and confidence necessary to respond effectively to medical emergencies, both on and off-campus.

This year's First Aid training stemmed from a collective request made by the student community following the student General Assembly. The training provided them with the skills and knowledge necessary to handle medical emergencies with confidence, and was well-received by the participating students, who found it informative and engaging. Owing to the continued high interest, the College of Europe in Natolin shall offer a second such training on 9 May 2023.

"We are committed to providing our students with the tools they need to thrive and succeed both in and outside of the classroom," said Mr Anis ISSA, Head of Student Affairs and Professional Development. "Our first course was a success, and we are excited to offer a second training session for students who were unable to attend the first one."
