Introductory Seminar on International Humanitarian Law at Natolin (2023)

From 29-31 March 2022, the European Interdisciplinary Studies programme shall organise – in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross – an Introductory Seminar on International Humanitarian Law for students, researchers and practitioners.

The aim of this seminar shall be to familiarise participants with new and emerging challenges that the international community is confronted with in the domain of Humanitarian Protection and Assistance in times of armed conflicts.

Professor Elżbieta MIKOS-SKUZA (University of Warsaw, College of Europe) and other practitioners of Law and EU Affairs shall address highly-discussed issues related to the workings of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and the links between the European Union and IHL.

The seminar is open to registered students of the College of Europe, and students (in their final year of studies) of Law and Administration, International Relations, Political Science, Diplomacy, European Studies, Journalism and other related fields. It is also open to students/researchers who are currently attending postgraduate programmes in the above disciplines. The seminar shall be in English (without translation), and will take place in a hybrid mode. The students of the College of Europe in Natolin shall attend the event on-site.
