On Friday, 7 April 2017,
Italian students of the Natolin campus of the College of Europe organized the Italian National Day. The Festa Nazionale italiana was designed to make the students feel like they were in the Mediterranean peninsula through involving them in various cultural activities.
For this special occasion, the Natolin restaurant served three Italian meals made of caffè espresso italiano, pasta alla carbonara, melanzane alla parmigiana and tiramisù. This was a great opportunity for the Natolin students, professors and the whole staff of the Natolin campus to taste the Italian flavours and culture.
Several events were organized throughout the day such as a the projection of the movie Il Postino, a photo exhibition of Italian landscapes and a cabaret show on Italian cultural traits performed by some Italian students of the College.
Before the Italian Spritz party, held in the student bar, the song Nel blu dipinto di blu beautifully performed by the Natolin Choir resonated in the campus as the final note of this cheerful day.
