Natolin students at the Warsaw Security Forum

On 2 and 3 October 2019, Natolin students, in particular members of the Natolin Security and Defence Society (NSDS), attended the Warsaw Security Forum (WSF). The WSF, the NSDS and the Natolin Security Nest (NSN) co-organised their attendance.

Created in 2014, the WSF is held in Warsaw every year and allows security professionals to meet and to discuss topical issues. In total, 1300 participants attended, including 120 high-level speakers, 100 journalists, and representatives of the largest defence companies.

This year, the College of Europe in Natolin was represented by over a dozen students. In addition to attending the conference, the students performed several tasks, including VIP liaison, social media assistance, and room supervision. Some met Vesna Pusić (First Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia (2012-2016), Jacek Czaputowicz (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland), Edgars Rinkēvičs (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia), and Thomas Greminger (OSCE Secretary General). During the conference breaks, Natolin students discussed their research projects and career plans with other conference members.
