"Transeamus! Let us go!": Annual Christmas Carols Concert of the College of Europe Natolin Choir in Warsaw

On 17 January 2016, the Annual Christmas Carols Concert "Transeamus! Let us go!" took place in the St. Stephen's Church in Mokotów, Warsaw.

Directed by Mrs Katarzyna BONIECKA, the Natolin Choir of the College of Europe, the Choir KameLeon of the Warsaw Mokotów District and the Children’s Choir LutoSingers sang a selection of Christmas carols in several European languages.

"The concert at the St Stephen’s Church has definitely been one of the highlights of my singing with the choir this year. It was lovely to sing somewhere with such an acoustic, but also to sing with another choir."  (Ms Lydia Malebogo STODDART, Great Britain). "Participating in this concert as a member of the Natolin Choir was an occasion to experience a little part of the real Polish society and its traditions." (Mr Michele FIORILLO, Italy)

On the whole, singing five carols in five languages of the European Union (English, Spanish, Romanian, Polish, and German) was not an easy task. Nevertheless, Natolin students said that thanks to the unique multicultural environment they are experiencing at the College, they succeeded to better understand, feel and transmit the spirit of these beautiful carols to the wide audience attending the concert.
