UK National Day at Natolin

The UK National Day, held on 28 April 2017, aimed to showcase the diversity of UK culture, beyond the London-centred culture often seen from afar. The photo exhibition represented landscapes, landmarks and cityscapes from across the four nations forming the UK, whilst additional information was displayed about the different flags.

The diversity of food showed how the UK's gastronomy has been shaped both by its mosaic of regions and also by the UK's past and present relationships with the wider world. A street party theme was superbly delivered by the canteen, giving a sense of community culture in the UK and providing insight into community traditions. The evening followed the theme of reflecting the diversity of the UK, touching on language, song, arts (Shakespeare) and finished with a very lively ceilidh.
