Panel Discussion on “Writers at the Time of War” with Mr Andrey KURKOV

The European Neighbourhood Chair of the College of Europe in Natolin was pleased to host a thought-provoking panel discussion titled "Writers at the Time of War". The event featured renowned Ukrainian writer Mr Andrey KURKOV, who shared reflections on literature, identity, and resilience in the context of ongoing conflict.

Moderated by Chairholder Prof. Adam ŁAZOWSKI, the discussion explored the role of culture and cultural diplomacy during times of war. The speaker and the students examined how writers contribute to preserving national identity, documenting lived experiences, and fostering international understanding amid crisis.

The panel also offered an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of Vitoria AMELINA, the 2025/2026 promotion patron at the College of Europe.
