The publication "Three Revolutions: Mobilization and Change in Contemporary Ukraine" to be presented at the 2022 ASN World Convention in New York

Since 2015, the European Civilization Chair at the College of Europe in Natolin has been carrying out the flagship research project titled "3R - Three Ukrainian Revolutions".

The project aims' are to research, collect and publish an oral history on the three Ukrainian revolutions of 1990, 2004-05 and 2013-14, and it is led by Dr Paweł KOWAL and Prof. Georges MINK, in cooperation with distinguished international partner institutions. The research project has led to a three-volume publication titled "Three Revolutions: Mobilization and Change in Contemporary Ukraine". The publication offers an insight into the process of social and political mobilisation in Ukraine since 1980s until today.

The books, and in particular the newest third volume, are now to be presented during a book panel at the 2022 ASN World Convention, co-hosted by the Harriman Institute at Columbia University, in New York.

"The ASN World Convention, the largest international and inter-disciplinary scholarly gathering of its kind, welcomes proposals on a wide range of topics related to nationalism, ethnicity, ethnic conflict and national identity in regional sections on the Balkans, Central Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Eurasia Eurasia (including Central Asia and China), the Caucasus, and Turkey/Greece, as well as thematic sections on Nationalism Studies and Migration/Diasporas. Disciplines represented include political science, history, anthropology, sociology, international studies, security studies, geopolitics, area studies, economics, geography, sociolinguistics, literature, psychology, and related fields." Brief description: The book panel will be centered on the discussion on the newest volume of the three-volume publication "Three Revolutions: Mobilization and Change in Contemporary Ukraine".

This volume, titled "Three Revolutions: Mobilization and Change in Contemporary Ukraine III; Archival Records and Historical Sources. Revolution on Granite", was published in spring 2022 and edited by Dr Paweł KOWAL, Ms Iwona REICHARDT and Ms Kateryna PRYSHCHEPA.

The publication completes the two earlier volumes published in 2019, namely: "Three Revolutions: Mobilization and Change in Contemporary Ukraine I; Theoretical Aspects and Analyses on Religion, Memory, and Identity" edited by Dr Paweł KOWAL, Prof. Georges MINK and Ms Iwona REICHARDT, and "Three Revolutions: Mobilization and Change in Contemporary Ukraine II; An Oral History of the Revolution on Granite, Orange Revolution, and Revolution of Dignity", which was edited by Dr Paweł KOWAL, Prof. Georges MINK, Ms Iwona REICHARDT, and Mr Adam REICHARDT.
