On Friday, 27 May 2022, students of the Eliane Vogel-Polsky promotion at the College of Europe in Natolin conducted a tree-planting ceremony on the campus grounds, as part of Equipo Europa’s ‘Un Arbol por Europa’ initiative.
The campaign encourages the planting of trees by Spanish municipalities as a symbol of commitment to local sustainability and the fight against deforestation in Europe. It was introduced to the College of Europe in Natolin by members of the Spanish community, who took part in the planting of the tree.
The ceremony included a presentation of the intended purpose of the project, the involvement of the organizing students (Luca AUGELLO RUIZ, Sofia TORRES BIZOU, Alvaro GARROTE FUENTES) with the organization, and finally the planting itself.
