Professor Marek Góra teaches at Natolin a course titled "The Political Economy of Welfare States in Europe". The course focuses on the European version of the welfare state: social policy and its role, institutions, and the economic, social, and demographic factors behind it. Its foundations, successes in the 20th century, challenges in the 21st century, and the new challenges include climate change, mass migration, and others.

Professor Góra co-designed (with Michał Rutkowski) Poland’s old-age pension system, based on transparent and individualized intergenerational exchange, implemented since 1999.
