CJEU - La CJEU: dynamique, approche, règles et fonctionnement (10h)

The workshop 'la CJUE: dynamique, approche, règles et fonctionnement' is a workshop intended for students to meet and hear from 5 juges from different courts, including a national supreme court, the ECJ and the ECHR. Each judge will intervene on one topic in particular during a two hour session. All students are welcome to attend to the sessions, but only students who will have attended all 5 sessions will be given the attendance certificate. Here is the list of interviening judges, the focus of their speech and the date of their intervention (3 of them are scheduled during the first semester, two judges will come in the second semester): 


- O'LEARY Síofra, Judge at the European Court of Human Rights, on the 12th of November from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, on the topic of 'Protecting democracy, human rights and the rule of law in Strasbourg and Luxembourg'.

- da SILVA PASSOS Ricardo, Judge at the General Court of the EU, on the 14th of November from 10:00am to 12:00am, on the topic 'The reform of the Court of Justice of the European Union'. 

- HELISKOSKI Joni, Judge at the Supreme Administrative Court of Finland, on the 14th of November from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, on the topic of 'An Insight beneath Article 267 TFEU: Compliance with the Obligation to Request a Preliminary Ruling from the Perspective of the Member States’ Courts of Last Instance'.

- SPINEANU-MATEI Octavia, Judge at the Court of Justice of the EU, on the 20th of March from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, on the topic: 'La relation (parfois difficile) entre les droits de propriété intellectuelle et le droit de la concurrence ' 

- SZPUNAR Maciej, First Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the EU, on the 7th of March from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm, on the topic 'New technologies in the case-law of the Court of Justice'.
