AKSE E. – Methods and Skills for Regulatory Impact Assessment in the EU Accession Process (8h)

This workshop aims to provide a detailed presentation and understanding of the role that Regulatory Impact Assessment can play during the transposition of the EU Acquis and the negotiation positions of future EU Member States. The workshop is split into two sessions. 

The first session covers the way the European Commission works with Impact Assessment and elaborates on the policy analysis that the EU produces. This session will foster an understanding of the starting point of the transposition process for the EU Acquis. 

The second session assesses how the EU Impact Assessment can be used in the transposition process and in formulating negotiation positions.
