Job Vacancy - Project Coordinator

The College of Europe is looking for a Project Coordinator to join its Development Office in Bruges, Belgium. The Development Office is the College of Europe’s main link for developing training courses, projects and other professional services for and with individuals, universities, public bodies, companies and organisations worldwide. Description of the position:

The Project Coordinator will work in close cooperation with the other Project Managers and Assistants and will directly report to the Director of the Development Office. Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Director in the daily management of the Office;
  • Finding new initiatives and opportunities for business development;
  • Assisting the Director in ensuring operational efficiencies and strategic outputs of the Office;
  • Assisting the Director in the provision of general support to the team;
  • Project Management & PM’s tasks & responsibilities;
  • Managing procurement, contracts and training services;
  • Writing tenders and project applications in English/French;
  • Liaising with experts, professors, trainers, participants and partners worldwide;
  • Attending meetings and events including travel;
  • Budgeting and reporting.

Required profile:

  • University degree (in European studies, law, economics, political sciences or international relations) and a postgraduate degree in EU affairs;
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management;
  • Knowledge of and relevant experience with tendering procedures (in particular: calls for tender / service contracts, technical assistance projects (EuropeAid), framework contracts, etc..);
  • Excellent English writing skills (candidates not complying with the requested level will not be considered); excellent French writing skills and other languages are considered as an asset;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Open personality with strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills and a flexible and dynamic attitude.
