Dr Tamar GAMKRELIDZE publishes an op-ed on the recent protests in Tbilisi in opposition to a draft law on 'foreign influence'

Dr Tamar GAMKRELIDZE, Operations Coordinator and Postdoctoral Fellow at the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair of the College of Europe in Natolin, published recently an op-ed on the recent protests in Tbilisi in opposition to a draft law on 'foreign influence'.

The article was published by the EU Observer, a website that covers the latest developments and debates in the European Union.

According to Dr GAMKRELIDZE, what sets this movement apart from its predecessors is its driving force: the Erasmus generation. Equipped with Georgian and EU flags, these young individuals moved from one institution to another, infusing the streets of Tbilisi with vibrant displays of dancing, singing, and encouraging bystanders to join the protest.
