The Department of European Interdisciplinary Studies of the College of Europe in Natolin is seeking applications for the position of academic assistant for the forthcoming Academic Year 2013-14 with a starting date of Monday, 12 August 2013 at the latest.
We are looking for graduates, holding a Master’s degree in political science, sociology, economy, history or law, preferably candidates with a measure of College of Europe experience, with:
- a mention "very good",
- a very good command of English and French,
- the ability to work as part of a team,
- an interest in teaching and research,
- good organisational skills and
- a high measure of flexibility (working hours can include evenings or weekends).
Tasks include
- teaching (e.g. giving tutorials, assisting the supervision of Master's theses, providing academic advice to students),
- being the link between professors and students,
- assisting professors (e.g. organisational back-up, research, compiling reading lists),
- organisation (e.g. departmental administration, study trips, guest lectures, conferences, participation in the selection of prospective students),
- own research and academic writing,
- and whatever you would like to contribute to the department.
