College of Europe in Tirana - Applications are open!

We are thrilled to announce the opening of a new Campus of the College of Europe in Tirana, Albania, and the launch of the postgraduate programme "Master of Arts in European Transformation and Integration – The EU and Southeastern Europe". The opening of the new campus is a testament to the growth and success of the College and an important step towards Albania's European future.

On Sunday, 15th October, Rector Federica Mogherini was in Tirana together with EU Commission President, Ursula Von der Leyen, Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and EU Ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca, to launch the applications for the academic year 2024/2025 for the new master programme. President Von der Leyen also announced that the EU Commission will offer fifteen scholarships for students from the Western Balkans in the next three years. 

On Monday, 16th October, Rector Mogherini and Tirana's mayor, Erion Veliaj, signed the contract for the establishment of our new Representation Office in the heart of Tirana's city center. The mayor also announced three scholarships for next year, funded by the municipality of Tirana. 

Later in the day, we hosted the inauguration ceremony of our new office, on the margins of The Berlin Process Summit. EU Commission President, Ursula Von der Leyen, EU Council President, Charles Michel, Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and Albanian Minister for Education, Sport and Youth, Ogerta Manastirliu, celebrated this milestone together with Rector Mogherini and other guests.
