EG Colloquium 2023

On the 15 and 16 May, the European General Studies Programme of the College of Europe (Bruges) organized the second edition of its annual colloquium. This year, the colloquium focused on “EU Professionals and EU Staff Studies: Where are we and where do we go?”. Almost 25 years after the first studies on European professionals and 20 years after the publication of Les métiers de l’Europe politique, this colloquium aimed at examining the new developments in the analysis of EU staff and professionals. The first day focused on the different methodological perspectives that renew the analysis. During the second day, the researchers explored new objects and fields that have emerged in recent years.

On the evening of the first day, Prof. Sebastian BUTTNER presented his book “Sociology of Europeanization” co-edited with together with Monika EIGMÜLLER and Susann WORSCHECH (2022). You will find below his intervention.
