The Georgian Society of the College of Europe is delighted to host a conference: "Between a Rock and a Hard Place — Georgia’s European Integration and Relations with Russia" with H.E. Natalie SABANADZE, Head of Mission of Georgia to the European Union, Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and H.E. Luc Pierre DEVIGNE, Director for Russia, Eastern partnership, Central Asia and OSCE, Deputy Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia, European External Action Service (EEAS). 

Speakers will discuss perspectives and challenges of EU-Georgia relations addressing the following questions: 

  • What is the state of play of the EU-Georgia relations and what are the perspectives of future cooperation?
  • Is it pragmatic for Georgia to politically detach from the South Caucasus region to more assertively move towards the EU?
  • What is the impact of the Russian Federation on Georgia’s European integration process?

The conference takes place on 25 March 2019 in Room E, Dijver at 17:00 and will be followed by a reception in the Foyer, with the kind support of the President of Georgia,  the Georgian Embassy in Brussels and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. 

This event is open to the public but registration through the form below is required before 24 March (12:00).
