On Tuesday 31 October 2017, the CoE Alumni Energy Group, in cooperation with the European Policy Energy Chair of the College of Europe, organised a breakfast event entitled "Promoting Access to Energy through EU Development Cooperation", focusing on EU's instruments aimed at the promotion of access to energy in developing countries. Under the motto "policy meets practice" the event, which brought together alumni of the College of Europe as well as the students of the current promotion, provided an overview of these EU policies and instruments and showcased the Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme (RECP), outlining practical policy implementation experiences in African countries.
