From 11/03 till 14/03

From the 11 to 14 March 2013, the European Political and Administrative Studies Department went to a study visit to the main European institutions of Luxembourg and Strasbourg.

In Luxembourg, the students had the possibility to visit either the European Investment Bank or the Court of Justice of the European Union with a conference given by M. K. LENAERTS, Vice President of the Court.

In Strasbourg, the students discovered the work of the Council of Europe, of the European Court of Human Rights with a conference given by Paul LEMMENS, judge appointed by Belgium.  They also visited the European parliament : the students were able to assist to the plenary session (discussion on the situation in Syria with Catherine Ashton) and to meet two MEPs, Sandrine BELIER (FR, Green) and Nathalie GRIESBECK (FR, ALDE) who presented their activity within the assembly. The study visit ended with a venue to Eurocorps headquarters.

During these four days, the department also organised a dinner with the students,  a networking evening to meet alumni working in the institutions.
