Guest lecture by the EU Ambassador to Albania

What does a 40-year diplomatic career look like in practice?
This week, our students heard it directly from the EU Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, as we welcomed him to our campus as a guest lecturer.

He spoke with our students about the role of civil society, independent media, and human rights defenders in the EU accession process.

Ambassador Gonzato shared personal insights from his career and offered practical advice on working in the EU institutions and pursuing a diplomatic path.

The lecture, organised in the framework of the course “Organised Civil Society, Advocacy and Lobbying in Southeastern Europe” with our Director of Studies, Igor Vidačak, was a great opportunity to connect future EU decision-makers with a diplomat who has spent four decades at the heart of European affairs.

Thank you, Ambassador Gonzato, for your continued support and for such an open discussion with our students!
