Peer to Peer – Challenging Extremism: "She is Here"

In collaboration with Facebook, the College of Europe’s "Young European Perspectives" is participating in "Peer to Peer – Challenging Extremism". As part of this initiative, which brings together students from all over the world to counter radicalization and violent extremism, ten students from the EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies department and the European Economic Studies department launched their campaign called “She is Here”.

The "She is Here" social media campaign will primarily unfold on Facebook with the objective of raising awareness about the fact that women are engaging in radicalization and extremism, as well as in countering and preventing it.

Yet still their situation and efforts are severely underrepresented in policy and media coverage. The campaign aims to shed light on this in order for more efforts to be directed towards countering the radicalization of women and to highlight that women are not merely victims of extremism but hold an equally important role as their male counterparts in preventing it.

We wish them all the best to make it to the finals with their ambitious contribution.
