On 17 June 2024, from 16:30 to 18:00, attendees engaged in a lively discussion dedicated to “Transatlantic Relations in a Year of Decision.”

This panel event convened Dr. Rosa Balfour, Director of Carnegie Europe, and Dr. Charles Kupchan, Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and Professor of International Affairs at Georgetown University, to provide a platform for a critical assessment of the challenges facing the transatlantic partnership in this pivotal year, marked by electoral processes on both sides of the Atlantic. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Dan Michaels, Brussels Bureau Chief for the Wall Street Journal, and introduced by Dr. Ian Lesser, Chair of Transatlantic Trade and Economy at the College of Europe. Following the discussion, a reception offered attendees the opportunity for further dialogue.
