Tinatin Akhvlediani holds PhD in Economics from the University of Warsaw. Her previous academic background consists of a MA in International Economics from the University of Warsaw, MA in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe and BA in Business Administration from Tbilisi State University.

She authors and co-authors several publications on international trade and economic growth from perspectives of technological progress, ICT and human capital. Her research outcomes have been presented at the international conferences in Europe as well as in Canada, United States, China and Australia. She is currently leading a research project on effects of ICT on export performances of firms in Central and Eastern Europe. On this topic, before coming to the College, she conducted research visits at Indiana University in the United States, Vienna Institute of International Economic Studies in Austria and Shanghai University in China. Prior to working at the College of Europe, she has been a teaching assistant at the University of Warsaw and a research assistant at the Digital Economy LAB, jointly established by the University of Warsaw and Google.
