"Fit for Good? Achievements and challenges of European climate and energy policy" - Opening of the IBERDROLA Manuel Marin European Energy and Climate Policy Chair's academic year

From 14:00 till 15:30

On Friday 19 November 2021 (14h00-15h30 CET), the IBERDROLA Manuel Marin Chair for European Energy and Climate Policy will open its academic year with a discussion entitled "Fit for Good? Achievements and challenges of European climate and energy policy". The event will host Mr. Stefano GRASSI and Ms. Eva CHAMIZO LLATAS to discuss these topics.

The speakers will position the EU's climate and energy policies against the background of current developments such as the global energy price crisis and the climate talks in Glasgow. In July this year, the European Commission proposed its largest legislative package, the Fit for 55, to ensure the Union lives up to its ambition to decarbonize our economies in an ambitious, efficient and fair manner.

Stefano Grassi is Head of Cabinet to Kadri Simson, European Commissioner responsible for Energy. Eva Chamizo Llatas is Director of European Affairs and Head of the Brussels Office of Iberdrola.

The event is available online via WebEx. Please register to receive the connection details. The event will not be recorded and take place under Chatham House Rule.
