Job Vacancy – Junior Officer for relations with the public (50% FTE) at the College of Europe (Tirana, Albania)

Tirana_logoAs a member of the “Tirana Action Team of Experts” preparing the opening of the Tirana Campus of the College of Europe, the Junior Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing the College's visibility in Tirana, Albania and the Western Balkans by informing the interested public and potential future students about the academic offer of the Tirana Campus and facilitating communication with various stakeholders in the framework of the preparatory inception phase of the project (until September 2024). Together with the Liaison Officer of the team, the Junior Officer for relations to the public will work in the recently inaugurated Representation Office of the College of Europe in Tirana. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Academic and the Administrative Project Coordinator (both based in Bruges) as well as collaborate closely with the Communications, Events and External Relations Office of the Bruges campus.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • at least an undergraduate degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or related fields;
  • some degree of professional experience in public relations, communication, event management/coordination or related administrative roles;
  • strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Albanian (essential);
  • experience in using social media platforms, content creation, and basic graphic design;
  • preferably, a good understanding of the College of Europe;
  • preferably, a good understanding of the higher education systems in the Western Balkans;
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Main tasks include:

  • providing information to visitors of the College’s representation office in Tirana, particularly to potential future students (with focus on the Tirana Campus’ academic offer, admission procedure, etc.);
  • enhancing the visibility of the College and in particular the Tirana Campus through effective public relations and communication actions, including the generation of content for various communication materials and channels, event coordination, etc.;
  • preparing monthly reports on office and communications activities, stakeholder engagement, etc.;
  • supporting the Liaison Officer in establishing and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, potential students, and partners to expand the College's network;
  • assistance in coordinating and hosting incoming missions from the Bruges campus to Tirana.

The Junior PR Officer will be based in Tirana, Albania.
