The newly elected College of Europe Bruges campus academic student representatives of the Hannah Arendt Promotion (2019/2020) were invited for their first meeting by Rector Jorg MONAR, together with Mr Thierry MONFORTI, Director of Academic Service, and Mrs Olivia TAVEIRNE, Head of Student Affairs.
The student representatives play an important role throughout the academic year and take up numerous additional responsibilities dealing with the diverse areas students are challenged with during the year. They are invited to make formal speeches on behalf of the student body at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the academic year and they represent the student community on official bodies such as the Academic Council and Administrative Council. As Rector MONAR said, the student representatives help us to ensure to achieve the optimal study and living environment because the students are, after all, the "raison d'être" of the College of Europe.
The Rector congratulates the students for having been elected and wishes them a fruitful year at the College.
