Dominique Montagnese joined the College of Europe in October 2024.
As Deputy Director of the Rectorate, Dominique works in close relationship with the Rector and the Head of Administration of the Tirana Campus to ensure compliance, planning, execution and monitoring of the implementation strategy of the College of Europe in Tirana.
Previously an independent EU funding expert and external evaluator for several EU agencies, Dominique has worked for the Flemish Ministry of Education and SIHO - Support Centre for Inclusive Higher Education (2019-2021) on several EU-funded projects aimed at making International Education more inclusive and accessible for students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Europe.
Involved in European Higher Education since 2010, Dominique has also held the positions of Vice-President of the Erasmus Student Network (2013-2015), Projects and Events Officer at UNICA – Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe (2015-2016), and Associate Membership Coordinator at EUF – European University Foundation (2017-2019). He was also a member of the EAIE Steering Committee on Inclusion & Diversity (2019-2021).
Dominique is a lifelong learning enthusiast and spends most of his time outside of work traveling (40 countries visited to date) and learning new things: tennis, chess, Serbian language, and cooking Asian food are the most recent examples.
