Russell Patten is currently Director General of the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE) defending the interests of the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump industry. In his 35 years career in Brussels, he started off in the European Commission, then joined a law firm and then focused on lobbying in several EU consultancies until 2022.
Russell is a Belgian-British national and was a student at the College of Europe, Spinelli promotion. When he left the College, he started undertaking seminar and conferences on lobbying best practice and continues to being a visiting professor in several universities.
He has held many posts as Director General/Secretary-General of trade associations as well as of patient groups, including Parkinson’s Europe.
