Born in the North of Germany and grew up in Baden Württemberg in a small town in the Black Forest. For almost 20 years she has lived in Porto, Portugal, working as a translator and interpreter and as a German teacher, mainly at the Goethe-Institut Porto. She has obtained a university degree in Translation and Interpretation in Porto and absolved a course in Methods and Didactics in teaching German as a Foreign Language at the Goethe-Institut Porto. In 2012 , she moved with her family to Brussels where she has been teaching at the European Institutions and at the Goethe-Institut. She has a broad teaching experience on all levels.
