The Alumni Association brings together over 15,000 alumni of the College of Europe and plays an active role in the life of the College.
The Association’s events allow alumni to meet and network. Alumni are regularly invited to take part in conferences, receptions and informal gatherings, but also in cultural/work-life balance activities and sports events. Former students look forward to attend Anniversary-dinners, which reunite them every five years after their graduation.
The Association maintains a database of alumni contact details and offers to the former student an access to “Alumni Who’s Who” research tool through its website.
More recently, thematic groups (Energy, Women’s, ICT, Environmental, Health Groups), hubs of the Association’s thematic activities emerged. These thematic groups contribute to Alumni networking activities and creation of a community of practitioners and experts in a respective domain.
Junior alumni benefit from senior alumni’s career guidance, including from a mentoring programme, initially launched in 2016 within its thematic Alumni Women’s Group. The Association also regularly publishes job adverts on its website and communicates via a regular career newsletter. It also organises career events, such as career networking evenings and professional skills workshops. The Association cooperates with the Careers Office of the College of Europe.
Headquartered in Brussels, the Association also relies on numerous Regional Groups around the world.
The Alumni Association is a non-profit organisation run by alumni of the College volunteering their time and energy for free. It has one part-time staff, Ms. Aline VAN DAM.
