Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

With over 40 different nationalities represented today, the Bruges Campus of the College of Europe undeniably reflects a diverse community. We are committed to cultivating an inclusive educational environment, where the values, experiences and perspectives of our diverse student population are not only respected, but also celebrated. As part of our social engagement towards the European integration project, we realize we must go further and hold a responsibility to prepare the future talent pipeline, as well as support underrepresented groups on the European scene.

The College therefore remains in close touch with its student body, to understand the needs and address challenges that may arise. We are constantly looking for additional endeavours to break through barriers and have an impact not only on individual lives, but also on society as a whole, by attracting, engaging and empowering students from diverse backgrounds who can each in their individual way contribute to this unique scene in Bruges. We are proud that 2/3 of our current student body can benefit from a scholarship, fully or partially covering their tuition fees to study at the College.

At the same time, the College of Europe is dedicated to ensuring an academic and professional environment that values and promotes gender equality among its student body, as well as its members of administrative and academic staff. Gender equality is a cross-cutting topic that is mainstreamed across our academic programmes, with some courses fully dedicated to gender matters.
