PolandProfessor Amelia HADFIELD opened the series of events at the Natolin Neighbourhood Days, organized by the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe, with a high-level lecture aimed at exploring the synergies and tensions between the EU’s new Global Strategy (EUGS) and the revised ENP with respect to the EU’s approach to conflicts and crises.
Professor HADFIELD’s lecture offered a timely overview of the EU’s vision for promoting peace and security in the neighbourhood, as emerging from the Union’s core strategic documents, as well as a critical appraisal of the extent to which the EUGS and ENP conflict-related provisions amount to a coherent crisis management strategy.
