On 4 March 2014, Professor Donald RAYFIELD, Emeritus Professor of Russian and Georgian Literature at the Queen Mary University of London, gave a lecture on the cultural history and civilisation of Georgia at the Natolin campus. 

  

The lecture was part of a preparatory programme for the Voltaire students taking part in the study trip to Georgia, that ran from 17 until 23 March 2014. This event was for students only.

         

Donald RAYFIELD is an author of books about Russian and Georgian literature. He translated Georgian and Russian poets and prose writers. In 2012, he published his magnum opus Edge of Empires: A History of Georgia.
