On 22 April 2020, five Natolin students held an Oxford-style debate moderated by Professor Georges MINK, addressing the motion "This House believes that the European Union has responded better to the COVID-19 pandemic than the United States".

Initially, most of the 30 people in the audience agreed with Team EU (Ms Claudia CALORE, Mr Teun JANSSEN and Mr Adam VOLF), but after 40 minutes of interventions and 20 minutes of Q&A, Team USA (Mr German CARBONI and Ms Mariam NOZADZE) decreased this majority by two votes, winning the debate. This exercise addressed the EU’s and the US’ multi-layered governance structures, and both entities’ public health and economic policies.
