
On Monday, 11 September 2017 the College of Europe in Natolin celebrated the Start of the Academic Year 2017-2018 with the students of the Simone Veil Promotion.
After a welcome speech by the Vice-Rector Mrs Ewa OŚNIECKA-TAMECKA, the Director of Studies Professor Pascaline WINAND introduced the new students to the European Interdisciplinary Studies programme.
After that, Professor Richard BUTTERWICK-PAWLIKOWSKI and Professor Tobias SCHUMACHER presented the mission and activities of the Academic Chairs they are heading: the European Civilisation Chair and the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair. Students also became acquainted with the organisation of the Academic Year, the Natolin Language Service as well as the extracurricular activities offer at the campus.
The morning session ended by a formal lunch given by the Vice-Rector in the Natolin Palace and Gardens. In the afternoon, the students had the opportunity to meet the Academic Assistants and the Head of Services supporting them on a daily basis.
