Natolin Graduation Ceremony of the David Sassoli Promotion 2022/2023

On Saturday, 24 June 2023, the College of Europe in Natolin held the Graduation Ceremony of the Academic Year 2022/2023, representing the end of studies for the departing David Sassoli promotion.

Natolin Graduation Ceremony of the David Sassoli Promotion 2022/2023

The Natolin Choir opened the ceremony - in line with tradition - with Ode to Joy, followed by the farewell address of the Mayor of Warsaw and Natolin alumnus at the same time, Mr Rafał TRZASKOWSKI. Rector of the College of Europe, Mrs Federica MOGHERINI addressed the students encouraging them to embark on their future life journeys with confidence and purpose.

On the occasion of the ceremony, the following prizes were announced and awarded by Prof. Pascaline WINANDProf. Georges MINK, and Prof. Kataryna WOLCZUK to the best students and the best Master's theses authors of the David Sassoli Promotion 2022/2023 at Natolin:

  • Best student of the Promotion: Ms Francesca Magdalena CHAPMAN
  • Best student of the major EU Public Affairs and Policies: Mr Conal Pádraig Ó GADHRA
  • Best student of the major The EU and the World: Ms Francesca Magdalena CHAPMAN
  • Best student of the major The EU and its Complex Neighbourhoods: Ms Caitlin Elizabeth MORGAN
  • Best student of the major European History and Civilization: Mr Zoltán ILLÉS
  • Outstanding student of the Promotion in the field of European History and Civilization: Mr Zoltán ILLÉS
  • Outstanding student of the Promotion in the field of European Neighbourhood Studies: Ms Anastasiia KAPRANOVA
  • Energy Community Award for the best thesis on European energy governance: Mr Eric VALDIVIA VILLANUEVA
  • Martin Sojer Memorial Prize for the best thesis on a topic related to economics and finances: Mr Zoltán ILLÉS
  • Sergio Lopez Perona Memorial Prize for the best thesis on the EU’s relations with the Middle East: Mr Pablo PASTOR VIDAL  

After an intervention by the Student Representatives from both campuses, the Vice-Rector, Mrs Ewa OŚNIECKA-TAMECKA, delivered the farewell address.

"Europe is an unfinished adventure. Thus, imagine your journey ahead and let your dreams be your guiding star, but while pursuing your dreams, remember that the real treasure is the journey!" - Vice-Rector Ewa OŚNIECKA-TAMECKA

Finally, a family photo was taken in front of the Natolin Palace, and dinner was offered at the Palace Gardens.
