Armenian Cultural Day 2024 at Natolin

The College of Europe in Natolin hosted a spectacular Armenian Cultural Day on 16 February, 2024, showcasing the vibrant tapestry of Armenian heritage and traditions to a captivated audience.

The event was a resounding success, offering attendees an immersive experience into the rich culture of Armenia.

Organized as part of the Cultural Days series (student-led initiatives at the College supported by the Student Affairs and Professional Development Office/SAPDO), the Armenian Cultural Day stood out as a testament to the students' dedication to promoting diversity and cultural understanding within the College community.

Throughout the day, participants were transported on a journey through Armenian folklore and ancient carpet art, with traditional music, attire, and a live carpet weaving demonstration captivating audiences and providing insights into Armenia's rich cultural heritage.

Interactive sessions and language games formed part of the crash course titled "Discovering Armenia," allowing attendees to unravel the secrets of the Armenian alphabet, culture, and history while sampling delectable Armenian snacks.

The highlight of the evening was a sumptuous dinner accompanied by classical Armenian music, where attendees had the pleasure of experiencing the centuries-old Armenian toasting tradition, led by esteemed guests and dignitaries, including His Excellency Alexander ARZOUMANIAN, the Armenian Ambassador to Poland. During the final of the chess tournament, students were treated to an Armenian brandy degustation led by the Ambassador himself, adding a touch of authenticity and prestige to the event.

Chess enthusiasts participated in a tournament infused with Armenian elegance, enjoying friendly competition and savoring Armenian brandy while showcasing strategic prowess.

The event culminated in a dynamic showcase of Armenian music, dance, and interactive games, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for Armenia's diverse traditions.
