Celebrations of the Turkish-Greek-Azeri National Day at Natolin

On Friday, 18 November 2022, the students of the College of Europe in Natolin had the opportunity to enjoy the fourth National Day of the David Sassoli Promotion. This time, the students from Greece, Turkey, and Azerbaijan prepared a celebration together.

The celebration started early on Thursday evening with the projection of the Greek movie "A touch of spice". The big celebration day was on Friday, when the students could enjoy a special dinner that featured typical food from the three countries. The students also learned to prepare their own doner kebab, thanks to the support of the Turkish Embassy in Warsaw. After the food, regional tea was provided to all guests.

After the dinner, the students welcomed their colleagues, external guests, and staff in the Auditorium Copernicus. They started with an interactive presentation of each country's music and tourist attractions. The students had the opportunity to participate in a Kahoot! game about Azerbaijan, and the two winners received local products. After this, all participants enjoyed the performance of Nomadinha, with the Turkish singer Ayse as the main voice this group adapted the show to include folkloric and iconic songs from the three countries.

Finally, Ilios, a Greek dancing group, offered a Greek-dance workshop to the participants. At least 60 people danced to the rhythm of Hellenic music. The day was a big success, as the Natolin community could enjoy and learn more about the Turkish, Greek, and Azeri cultures showcased.
