The College of Europe in Natolin expands its collaboration to strengthen Ukraine's capabilities in assisting the European integration process

On 9 May 2023, Vice-Rector Ewa OŚNIECKA-TAMECKA, College of Europe in Natolin, and Rector Volodymyr BUGROV, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the College of Europe in Natolin and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The Memorandum of Understanding intends to enhance Ukraine's capacity development for the European integration process through effective cooperation and the implementation of high-quality educational programmes in the field of European integration. It will foster development of the European faculty at the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv and establishing closer cooperation in development of its executive education programmes.

"Ukraine has advanced on preparations for membership, also during the full scale invasion of Russia on Ukraine. Still, the screening of the legislation, review of implementation and enforcement will be a demanding process. This is why it is crucial that the Ukrainian civil service is adequately prepared for these challenges.

But the challenges will also bring unprecedented opportunities for your country. So Ukraine will need hundreds of civil servants in state administration who posses thorough knowledge and specialist skills. People who can work on Ukrainian positions and who can then present them in the negotiating rounds", stated Vice-Rector OŚNIECKA-TAMECKA.

The document signed implements the provisions of the agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the College of Europe in Natolin, on cooperation aimed at strengthening the administrative capacity of the Ukrainian civil service, of 27 July 2022.
