Conference participation and publication by Dr Sebastian STEINGASS

Dr Sebastian STEINGASS, Senior Academic Assistant in the European Interdisciplinary Studies Department at the College of Europe in Natolin, recently participated in the Twenty-Ninth International Conference of Europeanists, which took place at the University of Iceland, Reykjavik, from 27 to 29 June 2023.

The conference theme was Europe’s Past Present and Future: Utopias and Dystopias. The Council for European Studies (CES), an independent and non-partisan, not-for-profit organisation hosted at Columbia University, is committed to supporting research that can play a critical role in understanding and applying the lessons of European history and integration to contemporary problems, including those in the areas of global security, sustainability, environmental stewardship, and democracy.

During the conference, Dr STEINGASS presented his ongoing work on Global Sustainable Development and Policy Integration in the European Union. This work was based on a recently published chapter, which is part of the Elgar Encyclopedia of European Union Public Policy, edited by Paolo Roberto Graziano and Jale Tosun and published by Edward Elgar in December 2022.
