Discussion on the outcomes of COP 26 with Professor James Henderson

From 10:00 till 11:00
Paderewski Hall (and online)
Natolin (Warsaw) Campus

The students-members of the Natolin Energy and Climate Governance Nest had the pleasure to invite to a discussion analysing the main outcomes and shortcomings of the Conference of the Parties (COP 26) that took place from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in Glasgow.

The special guest speaker was Dr James HENDERSONDirector of the Energy Transition Research Initiative at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES) and a professor at the College of Europe in Natolin.

Dr HENDERSON participated in the COP 26, which gathered global leaders to agree on common solutions to accelerate the action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement. Bearing in mind that the College of Europe in Natolin is to host the European Citizen's Panel of the Conference on the Future of Europe in January 2022, this event was yet another great opportunity to raise awareness on the topic of climate transition among students, staff, and the wider public. The discussion was a unique possibility for students and guests to ask questions on the outcomes of this global event and how these will translate into concrete steps to achieve a sustainable low-carbon future.

The discussion took place on Friday, 19 November 2021, at 10.00 - 11.00 a.m. in Paderewski Hall, with Dr HENDERSON participating online. The introductory remarks were followed by a Q&A session.
