Just as the Eurozone crisis triggered questions regarding the future process of European integration, the Ukraine crisis could lead to a fundamental rethinking of the EU’s relations with its neighbours. What may such a rethink mean for the EU-Turkey relationship? This roundtable explored new challenges and opportunities for EU-Turkey relations, as well as options to rethink them in the context of the debate on the future of European integration, enlargement, and the EU’s neighbourhood policy itself.
The roundtable was organized by the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair in collaboration with the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), the Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) at Sabanci University, and the Stiftung Mercator in the framework of the project Global Turkey in Europe. The programme is available here.
