On Saturday, 4 February 2023, the Student Affairs and Professional Development Office organized the workshop titled "EU Corporate Communication" with Mr David LODDER.
This training provided students with an overview of the skills needed to work in the field of EU media and communications. Students furthermore learned:
- How to prepare, write and promote a press release
- How to identify and deal with politically sensitive issues
- How to prepare tweets for the Commissioner’s and corporate accounts
- About the different communication jobs at the European institutions
About the speaker
David LODDER is Lecturer and Communication Specialist at the European Parliament. Previously he served as Press and Communication Officer at the Directorate General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission where he developed communication campaigns and press materials for topics such as the European Research Area, the European Research Council and several initiatives under Horizon Europe, the new European Research and Innovation Programme (2021-2027).
Before moving to Brussels, David worked as a Communication Officer at the Representation of the European Commission in The Hague. He holds an International Master's Degree in Economy, State and Society from University College London, as well as a Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe in Natolin.
