Fifth Special Issue of "De Europa" - European and Global Studies Journal - featuring six Master’s theses by Natolin students

The College of Europe in Natolin is proud to announce that the European and Global Studies Journal "De Europa", published by the Department of Cultures, Politics and Society at the University of Turin, has just released its fifth special issue featuring six selected Master’s theses written by Natolin students of the David Sassoli promotion (2023).

The series, which comes on the initiative of Prof. Umberto MORELLI †, is both a tribute to the close collaboration between the University of Turin and the College of Europe in Natolin, and the fruit of highly innovative work of the students of Natolin.

The guest editor of this fourth special issue is Prof. Georges MINK, Permanent Professor at the College of Europe in Natolin. The publication coordinator is Mr Zoltán ILLÉS, alumnus of the College of Europe in Natolin. The theses published in this issue were presented in the academic year 2022-2023 for the degree of Advanced Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies.

They cover a diverse string of topics, from the European Integration in Central and Eastern Europe (Coralie Axelle Angélique BALLIEU), to the EU’s good governance discourse in the Southern Neighbourhood (Pablo Pastor VIDAL). Other pieces of work focus on the economic policy debate in Kádár’s Hungary (Zoltán ILLÉS), the British role in Poland's entry to NATO (Otto BARROW), the socio-economic comparison of the coal mine closures in the Dutch region of Zuid-Limburg and the German Ruhr Area (Ruben SANSOM), and the new European model for international energy and raw materials cooperation (Eric Valdivia VILLANUEVA).
